Having just read an interesting article on the ‘The 50 Books Every Parent Should Read to Their Child’, I wondered what other books people would recommend. I’ll start the ball rolling by saying anything by Shaun Tan – my special favourite being his book, ‘The Red Tree’.
I’ve just found another ‘must-read’ book list. This time it’s for multicultural books: http://ccbc.education.wisc.edu/books/multicultural.asp
You write well, I enjoyed your post.
The web pages are looking great Helen! Just wanted to put in my favourite ‘read aloud’ book, although it’s not really appropriate for this time of year….”The Night before Christmas” is our special family book, read on every December 24th – in fact I bet my dad will still try to get me and my sister to sit and listen to him read it this year!
Thanks Laura. I love ‘The Night Before Christmas’ too. What a lovely family tradition to read it every Christmas Eve.
Mr Magnolia was a hit in this house. I think we all still know it off by heart
